Torpedo Fist origins

There're many histories about the figures of the P.A.C.K. edited from Mattel for the Big-Jim's production line.
Chief Tankua is similar to Billy Jack, a popular tv series of those days, but about Torpedo Fist, I found nothing in this years until today.

Captain Strong is called and this figure born in the 1973, two years first than Torpedo Fist, a villain against Superman. I think the origins of the dress born here with some other characteristics like the eye patch tipical of a perfect bad sailor...the telescopic hand is something new to give a weapon like the other figures of the team.

Thanks to all...I'm a little far from the Big-Jims theme, I'm really busy with my job and when I closed the Big-Jims collection I decided to follow other things but if I note something about Big-Jim's world, I'm really glad to share with you the info I own.

About Captain Strong, it's fun to think that he is a sailor, he has an anchor tattoo on the forearm, he is a pipesmoker, and got stronger every time he eat an alien vegetable called "sauncha". His girlfriend, in the comics, called Olivia...do you remember another one like him?

Popeye cartoons and Superman cartoons in the 40's were both produced by Max Fleischer...and Torpedo Fist originated by Captain Strong originated by Popeye...Torpedo Fist is Popeye!
